The original one is too short and forces you to use a plain hose clamp. This new product has a longer fitting part and allows you to use most Aftermarket Chrome or Custom Hose clamps on your fuel line . The fitting where the hose slides over is 0.75 inch long ( ¾ inch ) – the original one is only 0.50 inch ( ½ inch ) and therefore too short to use custom clamps . Fitting comes with a new o-ring .
